“Boy, will this winter ever end?” Josh stated to me as he
walked into the locker room of R & S Furniture Distributors in Schaumberg,
IL, referring to the overnight late March snow storm that dumped nine-inches of
snow on the greater Chicago area.
“Morning, Josh,” I replied, adding, “Yeah, and next week it
will be seventy.”
“Well, it might well be seventy next week but today its
thirty-three and we have a full schedule of deliveries.”
“Give me fifteen minutes, Josh, and I’ll be ready to go. I
just have to pick up our delivery tickets from Sally in accounting and a make a
thermos of Sippity Raspberry hot chocolate.”
“Now that’s a new Sippity flavor I never heard you mention
before.”
“My wife gave me a box of Sippity raspberry hot chocolate
for Valentine’s Day, and I'll tell you, Josh, I absolutely love it.”
“Can I have some?”
“I only brought two packets from home today, which is enough
to make one thermos. However, I might have some extra packets in my locker. Let
me check.”
Fifteen minutes later I returned to the locker room with our
delivery orders in one hand, my thermos of raspberry hot chocolate held between
my arm and my chest and a twenty ounce container of Sippity raspberry hot
chocolate in the other hand. “Are you ready to go?” I asked Josh, as I handed him
the container of raspberry hot chocolate.
“I am now, Bret. Thanks for the container of raspberry hot
chocolate. It will provide me with comfort all day”
