What's In Your Hot Chocolate Mix DNA?

Posted by Southwest Beverages on 3/23/2016

We all studied DNA in high school but most likely have forgotten exactly what DNA stands for and is. DNA is the abbreviation for deoxyribonucleic acid, which, simply put, is a long molecule that contains each person's unique, hereditary genetic code. It contains the biological instructions that make every person unique, and all living creatures for that matter. It defines our development as humans, our behavioral traits and how we re-produce. It also includes the decision making process of how we select our hot chocolate mix.

Some people are "wired" to select only a premium quality hot chocolate mix, such as Ghirardelli, Godiva, Starbucks and Sippity. Deep within the DNA molecule of the Sippity hot chocolate mix people lies a strong craving for hot chocolate that needs to be satisfied for them to function properly throughout the day. They are "wired" to have a Sippity hot chocolate four times a day-7 AM, 10 AM, 2 PM and after dinner as a dessert.

While research has yet to fully understand why one person prefers a certain flavor of Sippity hot chocolate mix over another, it is believed that young children aged 5-10 prefer the chocolate flavor because of its rich creamy taste, while young teens prefer the chocolate marshmallow flavor because of the comforting taste of the marshmallows. Adults, on the other hand, were found to prefer the Sippity hot chocolate mix flavored products-pumpkin spice, chocolate raspberry, chocolate cinnamon and chocolate peppermint for a variety of reasons, which are still being researched and analyzed.

One element of research that has been conclusive is that people who prefer Sippity hot chocolate mix feel that they get comfort from its contents, which is why the company made the tag line for Sippity hot chocolate mix, "Comfort I A Cup®".
