“May I help you find something, sir?” the sales
representative of Office Depot asked as I was taking a sip from my 16-ounce
container of Kemosabe chocolate irish cream gluten free coffee.
“Actually, yes you can. I’m looking to buy a basic printer
for my home computer.”
“Well we have a broad selection to choose from,” he replied.
“May I ask what’s your budget?”
“The one to two-hundred-dollar range, but more important
than price is I want a printer that is not going to require me to buy expensive
cartridges every month,” I replied, swiveling the container of irish cream
coffee in my hand.
“Boy that coffee sure smells good. May I ask what kind it
is?”
“It’s Kemosabe chocolate irish cream.”
“I wish I could enjoy flavored coffee like that,”
“Why can’t you?”
“I have a gluten tolerance condition, which requires me to
drink only gluten free coffee and to be honest all the flavored coffees I have
tried that are gluten free are terrible.”
“Well, good news,” I enthusiastically replied. “All Kemosabe
coffee is 100 % gluten free coffee.”
“You got to be kidding me.”
“No, each of their six flavors is gluten free.”
“They make six flavors of gluten free coffee?”
“Six flavors?”
“Yeah. Mocha, chocolate cinnamon, chocolate hazelnut, French
vanilla, crème butterscotch and this one, chocolate Irish cream.”
“Hmm, I bet the crème butterscotch is good.”
“It’s very good. As a matter of fact, remember when you used to go to your grandmother’s house and she had a candy dish of butterscotch
candies?”
“I do.”
“Well, Kemosabe’s cream butterscotch coffee will bring back
those memories.”
“Thanks for the tip about Kemosoabe gluten free coffee. I
sincerely appreciate it. Now then, I feel an emotional investment to get you
the best printer we have.”
