“Mom, do you think tomorrow you can make those chocolate
raspberry crepes we had at The Bellagio last summer?” my daughter, Jamie asked
referring to one of the mornings when we were on vacation in Las Vegas last
summer and I took them to the Jean Phillippe Patisserie in the Bellagio Hotel
for chocolate raspberry crepes.
“Wow! Now that sounds delicious,” I replied. “Whatever made
you think about that?”
“Well, actually, I was going through some pictures on my
phone yesterday and one of them was a picture of the crepes.”
“You actually took a picture of the crepes?
“Yeah, Mom. Remember when you went back to get the napkins?
Well that’s when Patti and I took a selfie of us behind our two plates of
crapes.”
“Let me see the picture?”
For the next few seconds, Jamie scrolled through the
pictures she had in her cell phone. “Here it is,” she stated as she handed the
phone to me.
“Oh, my goodness you really did take a selfie with your
sister behind the crepes.”
“Well do you think you can make them for breakfast tomorrow,
Mom?”
“I’ll certainly try, Jamie.”
To make a long story short I made the chocolate raspberry
crepes for breakfast using one of my recipes that use hot cocoa mix to make the
syrup and the girls loved them.
